Of course, why should I care where you leave your reading material? Except that on the table is about the least hygienic place I can think to leave it.

Not to mention anyone could read it if you just leave it out.

There are worst places to leave a book and it's not like it's dirty.
Besides, you can clean the table if it bothers you so much. I doubt a pyre is required to sanitize it.
