It is too noisy.

I will be out in the wastes until things calm down. Yachiru-chan, Raoh-san, you are both welcome to join me. I'll send you my coordinates if you wish.

Alphonse-kun, I believe I warned you about associating with potential madmen or murderers. You were lucky. I wonder how long that will hold?

You must be in quite a loud area. It's quiet where I am...

[identity profile] kin-slayer.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
Normally it isn't this way and normally I wouldn't be so irritated, simply a matter of circumstances.

[identity profile] le-louch.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
Which circumstances? The ones related to the Joker?

[identity profile] kin-slayer.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
Those are the ones that make it noisy and troublesome, I am assuming. I do not care enough to double check.

[identity profile] kin-slayer.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
You seem unaffected by the ruckus.

[identity profile] le-louch.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it's foolish to pick a fight if one doesn't feel confident of victory. There are others here better equipped for that sort of a thing than I am. I'm good with mental challenges, not chasing after psychopaths.

Hm. Yes.

Interesting. What exactly do you do?

[identity profile] le-louch.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
In my world, I'm a student.

[identity profile] kin-slayer.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
Ah? Of anything in particular?

[identity profile] le-louch.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
I'm just a high school student, so it's nothing specific that I study.

[identity profile] kin-slayer.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
High school? What sort of school is that?

[identity profile] le-louch.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
It's a school that educates students in most general subjects--literature, sciences, math, languages, history, etc. Some students go on to college and focus on a specific subject.

[identity profile] kin-slayer.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
I see. What sort of students tend to attend these schools?

[identity profile] le-louch.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
Most people attend these schools around ages 14-18. There are other preliminary schools preceding it.

Interesting. My society is a bit different.

How do children learn their trades?

[identity profile] le-louch.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
How are things done in your world?

Children generally proceed through their education--some don't finish high school, but most do. Some proceed on to college and other schools to learn their trades. Others begin working and learn from experience.

[identity profile] kin-slayer.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
Children who attend any sort of schooling go to one that focuses on their future occupation.

Many learn from their parents. Of course general education like literacy and history is required of all, but that's about it.

[identity profile] le-louch.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
Ah... Did you learn from your parents?

[identity profile] kin-slayer.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
Some. I surpassed them quickly, however. I also attended an academy, but graduated within a year. Most of my useful education was from experience.

[identity profile] le-louch.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Experience can be a useful teacher...

[identity profile] kin-slayer.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, if you survive it.
